Mower County Attorney Kristen Nelsen will serve as a 2012 director for the Minnesota County Attorneys Association.

Nelsen’s term will run from this December to December 2012. She is one of about 27 other directors for the association, including Freeborn County Attorney Craig Nelson. The 2012 directors were named last week at the association’s annual meeting in Bloomington.

The Minnesota County Attorneys Association is the professional association for 87 elected county attorneys and their assistants — more than 800 attorneys total.

Rice County Attorney G. Paul Beaumaster was elected president for 2012 and Crow Wing County Attorney Don Ryan was elected president-elect of the association.
