While finishing with a tough record of 1-5, the senior held an ERA of 2.33 and he suffered three-one losses. The three-year starter threw a no hitter, had three complete games and was All Big-Nine honorable mention. Klingfus struck out 31 hitters in 45 innings for the Packers (4-15 overall)

First base — Cooper Nelson, Blooming Prairie

The junior hit .308 with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 8 RBIs, while scoring 17 runs. Nelson also provided a big target at first base for the Awesome Blossoms (12-8 overall)

Second base — Tyler Nelson, Hayfield

The junior, who actually played shortstop for Hayfield, led the Vikings in the field and at the plate. He hit .513 with a slugging percentage of .684, 11 doubles, 12 runs, and 21 RBIs.

Shortstop — Alan May, Southland

As a leadoff hitter, May hit .393 with 3 homers, 4 doubles, 4 triples, 21 RBIs, 47 runs and 27 stolen bases. May also was a big factor on the mound as he went 7-1 with an ERA of 2.60. He struck out 51 in 51 1/3 innings, while allowing 64 hits and 24 walks.

Catcher — Justen Ingvalson, Blooming Prairie

The senior leadoff hitter batted .314 with 3 homeruns, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 10 RBIs and 22 runs.

Third base — Jay Ettinger, Austin

The junior led the Packers in nine offensive categories and was an All-Big Nine and All-Section 1AAA selection. Ettinger hit .393 with 8 doubles, 11 RBIs, while maintaining an on-base percentage of .507 and a slugging percentage of .564.

Outfield — Chris May, Southland

May, who played center field, hit .333 with 3 home runs, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 30 RBIs, 32 runs and 14 stolen bases for the Rebels (22-6 overall), who took sixth at the Class ‘A’ state tournament. The senior lefty was 4-4 with two saves, but he notched an ERA of 2.05 and he struck out 50 in 58 innings while allowing 62 hits and 16 walks.

Outfield — Jeff Doerhoefer, Blooming Prairie

The senior center fielder hit .361 with 3 doubles, 15 RBIs and 15 runs.

Outfield — Connor Mielke, Southland

The senior hit .385 with 3 homeruns, 8 doubles, 24 RBIs, and 21 runs.

Shortstop — Mitch Nagele, Southland

The senior hit .370 with 3 homeruns, 4 doubles, 22 RBIs and 14 runs.

Outfield — Adam Kiefer, Southland

The senior hit .274 with 10 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, 32 RBIs and 30 runs.

Shortstop — Tyler Krekling, Hayfield

The junior hit .361 with 2 doubles and 24 runs.

Pitcher — Aaron Krejci, Blooming Prairie

The senior was 8-3 with 1 save and an ERA of 1.68, while striking out 75 hitters in 63 innings. Krejci also played third base and hit .274 with 6 doubles, 8 RBIs and 8 runs.
