A Hayfield man who allegedly raped a woman in the Turtle Creek Industries bathroom pleaded not guilty to two charges of felony sexual assault Thursday.

Bradley John Turner, 50, an employee at Turtle Creek Industries, is mentally handicapped and suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, according to a family member.

Turner allegedly followed the woman into the bathroom, touched her inappropriately and forced himself on her. The woman told officers that when she screamed, Turner put his hand over her mouth and told her to “be quiet.”

Turner told police that when he saw the woman enter the bathroom, voices in his head told him to follow her and rape and kill her.

The court report said Turner admitted to entering the bathroom with the intent to rape the woman, but he said he could not complete the act because the woman screamed.

The court report also said Turner admitted to telling the woman, “have sex with me or I’ll kill you.”

Turner’s pre-trial is set for Feb. 24 and a jury trial for March 7.
