The Riverland women’s basketball team pushed the No. 1 team country into overtime, but it couldn’t finish the deal in a 75-70 loss to Madison Area Tech in the Worthington Invite Saturday.

The Blue Devils (1-2 overall) tied the game at 66-66 with 15 seconds left when Krissy Schemmel hit a three-pointer.

Two Austin grads also stepped up for RCC as Krista Viehauser poured in 29 points and Robin Arjes chipped in nine. Arjes scored all of her points in the second half.
