Leslie “Les” Lawrence Hansen, 90, of Rice Lake, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Rice Lake Concalescent Center.

He was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Alden to Julius and Lila (Baker) Hansen. He grew up in Alden and later moved to Albert Lea. He married Delores Fredrickson in Richmond, Calif. in Nov. of 1943.

He worked at Kaiser Shipyard in Richmond, Calif for one year, then worked for Hormel in Austin until his retirement in 1981. They moved to Rice Lake in 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Delores of Rice Lake; children: Larry Hansen of Rice Lake; Jack Hansen of Rice Lake; Curt (Mona) Hansen of Austin; Bill (Betty) Hansen of Austin; Kathy Hansen (Jim Grosskreutz) of Rice Lake; 10 grandchildren: Tyanne, Tonya, Trisha, Nain, Lara, Tim, Tony, Trevor, Troy and Jill; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Weltzen of Macgregor; brother, Gerold (Doris) Hansen of Albert Lea; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lyle and granddaughter, Julie.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake, Wisc. Interment was at Swedish Cemetery also in Rice Lake.
