MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for stabbing his wife of 24 years to death.

Billy Nash was sentenced Monday in Hennepin County. He pleaded guilty earlier this month to intentional murder.

The Star Tribune reports Nash was living with his 42-year-old wife, Pauline Nash, despite a judge’s no-contact order for beating her 10 days before she was killed last April.

Billy Nash told police he was upset with how his wife handled money, so he grabbed knives and stabbed her.

In court, Nash said he “let evil invade my body and mind, which caused me to act out.”
