Packers take fifth at home swim meet

The Austin boys swimming and diving team took fifth out of nine teams at the Packer Invite in Ellis Middle School Saturday.
Austin posted a team score of 259.5 and Mankato East-Loyola won the meet with a score of 347.
Austin junior Nick Brehmer won the 200-yard freestyle by just over three seconds and took second in the 100-yard freestyle.
Austin’s Caleb Bentley took second in diving with a score of 302.30 and Alec Anderson took third with a 291.45.
Rochester John Marshall’s won the diving with a score of 387.20.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Ian Christopherson, Carson Hackel, Craig Heimark, Nick Brehmer took third and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Christopherson, Heimark, Chris Brown, and Brehmer took fourth.
