Scoring chances were few and far between as the Packers boys hockey team lost 5-0 at Winona (3-10 overall, 1-6 Big Nine) Thursday.
The Winhawks out-shot the Packers (3-11 overall, 0-6 Big Nine) 48-16 on the night.
“We struggled pretty hard,” Austin head coach Tim Peterson said. “We couldn’t get anything going offensively and we struggled to move the puck out of our zone.”
Austin’s JV team won its first game in two years as Jacob Johnson picked up a shutout in a 4-0 win.
