Hormel Foundation hands out $325K in grants to city

The City of Austin will be receiving over $325,000 in grants from the Hormel Foundation over the coming months to be used on a number of projects throughout town.
City Council voted to accept the grants Monday evening. Initially, more than $573,000 was requested from the Hormel Foundation, but six of the 18 requests were denied.
