The Hayfield football team couldn’t hang on to a late lead in a 34-14 loss to Goodhue on the road Friday.

The Vikings (0-3 overall, 0-3 HVL) led 14-6 after three quarters, but Goodhue exploded for four scores in the fourth quarter to take over.

Goodhue out-gained Hayfield 377 to 101 in total yards of offense, but the Vikings picked off four passes, including a second quarter interception for a touch down by Myles Moreno, and recovered a fumble to keep it close.
