An Adams teenager suffered hand and leg injuries after being attacked by a stray cat Tuesday.
Emily Williamson, 18, was looked at by medical personnel after the incident but said she would go to Austin Medical Center on her own to get checked.
A sheriff’s report does not indicate exactly how severe the injuries were.
The attack occurred at around 5:30 p.m. at Williamson’s 310 Lincoln St. home. According to the report, she was leaning over to feed the cat when it lashed out.
Williamson said she had seen the stray cat before, which was described as calico, between 2 and 3 years old, and very skinny.
The Adams Police Department is asking residents to look for the cat and notify them if they see it.
