The Riverland women’s basketball team put up 49 points in the second half of a 71-48 win at Hibbing Friday.

Austin grad Krista Viehauser poured in 23 second half points as she finished with 30 points and 17 rebounds to lead the way.

“We exploded in the second half and we got some easy buckets,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “We just needed to get rolling.”

Mankato West grad Brooke Rosenstiel had seven points, five steals and four assists for RCC (6-4 overall) and Krissy Schemmel, another Mankato West grad, had seven points and four assists.
