Austinites are in for another round of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS forecast calls for snowfall throughout the day and evening, with expected totals ranging from 3 to 7 inches.
The snow will be accompanied by temperatures as high as 19 degrees. While that may be a treat compared to the subzero temperatures of the past few days, windchill values are expected to drop as low as zero degrees today and tonight.
Winds will zoom in from the southeast tonight at speeds as high as 11 mph. In the evening, winds will switch in from the east at around 7 mph.
Heading into Thursday, there is a 50 percent chance of snow before the lunch hour, though the NWS has not yet released expected snowfall totals. Thursday’s highs are set at 20 degrees.
The forecast for Friday calls for partly sunny skies, with highs near 15 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies are in store for Saturday, accompanied with temperatures around 9 degrees. Sunday’s forecast again calls for a slight chance of snow, and a high of 11 degrees.
