An Austin man facing felony charges for possessing child pornography on a computer pleaded guilty to two counts Thursday in Mower County court.
David Allen Wiseman, 54, of 507 Eighth St. N.E., is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 26 and could face a maximum prison term of five years.
According to a court complaint, Wiseman’s home was searched April 9 by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension after the department received a tip, spokeswoman Janell Rasmussen said. Who made the tip and when it was received is not made public during an ongoing investigation, Rasmussen said.
The search uncovered 96 image files and five videos of minors performing sexual acts, according to the complaint.
His computers were seized, and Wiseman admitted to downloading the material from a file sharing Web site called BearShare.
Wiseman was charged June 26.
