Submissions for the 2009 Open Photography Exhibit will be taken Friday, Aug. 28 through Sunday, Aug. 30 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Austin Area Art Center.

Photographers age 16 or older may exhibit up to six photographs. Photos must be 8 by 10 inches or larger and wired for hanging. Please do not bring photos with tabs on the back or small “eyelets” for hanging. Wired frames only. There is no fee for submissions.

The exhibit will show from Wednesday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 27. A reception honoring participating photographers will be held Sunday, Sept. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. Invitations are the photographers’ responsibility; Refreshments will be provided. There will be no sales tax on purchases made the day of the reception.
