Games People Play has a new look.

Owner Lance Pogones is finishing a remodeling project this week for the sporting goods and screen printing shop located at 701 18th Ave. NW. Pogones said they are painting the interior, replacing the flatwall for displaying merchandise, and completing a general upgrade.

The remodel started the first week in January, and once it’s complete, they can start work on the exterior. Pogones also owns Excel Fitness, a health club located in the same building, which also underwent a small remodel.

Pogones said it was time for a change, and he’s excited to have it finished. Games People Play opened in 1983 in Oak Park Mall, and has been at its current location for 16 years.
