The March of Dimes is kicking off its fundraiser with the Bruins this year.

March of Dimes organizers are working with the Austin Bruins to start the team captain kickoff this Friday, Feb. 17.

“The Bruins are incredibly involved with the community,” said Peggy Young, March of Dimes chairwoman.

Team captains can go to Riverside Arena starting at 6 p.m. Friday to pick up information on this year’s March of Dimes walk, which takes place April 14. Captains will also receive one free ticket to enjoy the Bruins game that night, which starts at 7:05 p.m. People who haven’t formed their team yet can sign up and get March of Dimes team information during that time as well.

“We want everyone who wants to start a team to come out,” Young said. “We’re really trying to get the community involved.”
