8 Christmas thefts in Minn. apparently related

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — St. Cloud police say eight separate burglaries during Christmas week appear to be related.

Police Sgt. Martin Sayre says all eight break-ins happened between Dec. 20 and Dec. 25, within a radius of several blocks.

The burglars seemed most interested in expensive electronics. The stolen items included 16 televisions, eight video-game consoles and seven laptops. The items had a combined value of more than $21,000.

Sayre says the thieves also caused thousands of dollars in damage to the homes.
