Veronica Ingram

Veronica (Verone) A. Ingram Age 85, formerly of Austin, Minn., died Dec. 30, 2010 at The Homestead in Rochester, Minn.

Veronica was born Jan. 7, 1925 in the Lima area near Durand, Wis. Her parents were John X. and Mary (Bauer) Bauer.

She and Donald C. Ingram were married on Feb. 10, 1945 at Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery, Ala., where Don was stationed during World War II. Don and Verone moved to Austin, Minn., in 1946 where they raised their six children.

Verone gave her children an incredible childhood. She was a wonderful mother and devoted wife.

She and Don were charter members of St. Edwards Catholic church. She loved music, sweets, and summers at the cabin on Beaver Lake near Ellendale, Minn. She played endlessly with her grandchildren, who said she made the best chocolate malts ever!

Winters were spent in Pompano Beach, Fla., and Don and Verone enjoyed many travels together.

Veronica is survived by her husband: Don, Pompano Beach, Fla.; children: Don; Lonna (Larry) Kurth; Mari; Lisa (Ron) Lenoch; Ariane (Tom) Herberg; Sam (Adrienne), and grandchildren: Amanda, Audrey, Christine, Brekke, Erik, Seth and Grace.

She is also survived by her sister Rose Schlosser and many relatives.

Veronica is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Fred, Ray, Clem, Edmund, Lawrence, Wilfred, Glen, and sisters Hilda and sister: Alicia.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Homestead of Rochester who embraced our mom with love and care and to her special volunteer Jenny from ElderCare.
