Austin grad and Riverland center Rebekah Aase was named MCAC Southern division player of the week for the week of Feb. 15.

Aase utilized her size and anchored the Blue Devils, beat Central Lakes College-Brainerd (Minn.) 82-42 as Aase hit 6-of-11 shots from the field for 21 points and brought in 16 rebounds. Despite losing a 71-66 thriller to Rochester CTC, the hometown freshman posted 20 points and 12 boards. Riverland and Aase will square-off against MN West College Saturday in their final regular season game.
