The Grand Meadow girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season when it hung on to beat LeRoy/Ostrander 46-41 in LeRoy Monday.

The Superlarks (1-9 overall, 1-6 SEC) trailed 39-37 late in the game but they ran off a 7-0 spurt to put the game out of reach.

The Cardinals (2-10 overall, 2-5 SEC) had led 35-22 with 5:08 left in the game after Krista Bunne hit two threes in a 30-second span.

GM scored the first 10 points of the game, but L/O scored the next eight as it was a close game throughout the night.
