Bruins sweep weekend series from Wings

ABERDEEN, S.D. — The Austin Bruins swept a weekend series with Aberdeen (24-20-6 overall) when they won 5-4 on the road Saturday.

Chase McDonald gave Austin (27-15-5 overall) a 4-3 lead with a third period goal and Chris Fischer added a score to make it 5-3 with 9:20 left in the game.

John Kirby and Jeremy Finger had first period goals for the Bruins.

Tyler Bruggeman had 35 saves for Austin.
