Begun in 1998 as a gospel vocal group at Eden Prairie’s St. Andrew Lutheran Church, the Gloryland Gospel Band has grown into a 16-member vocal and instrumental ensemble that performs nearly 60 concerts a year in the Twin Cities area.

Gloryland will perform at St. Olaf Lutheran Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

They have appeared at such venues as The Mall of America, the VA Medical Center, the American Swedish Institute, Garrison Keillor’s “Prairie Home Companion” and at countless churches.  Gloryland is described as a dynamic Christian group that adds “toe-tapping sparkle and inspiration” to any gathering.  Their repertoire includes great old Gospel and Oldies such as “I’ll Fly Away,” “Unclouded Day,” “Satisfied,” “Just a Little Talk with Jesus,” “Milky White Way,” “If the Lord Wasn’t Walking By My Side,” “Peace in the Valley,” “Mansion Over the Hilltop,” “Swing Down,” “This Old House” and “Just a Closer Walk,” to name a few.  They have also produced a CD titled “Lutheran Coffee — Music to Perk Up Your Soul.”
