The Austin Area Art Center is looking for artists to make some of the most practical art possible.

Artists are asked to combine any number of recycled, natural or found treasures to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces to exhibit for the month of March. As landfills are brimming with trash, this exhibit started to help show what beauty can be created with “everyday objects” and what a lot of people may consider garbage.

The show will be on display at the Austin Area Art Center located in Oak Park Mall. The public can view this clever, original exhibit during regular business hours from Wednesday, Feb. 29, through Sunday, April 1. There will be a reception for participating artists from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 4.
