An attempted armed robbery was reported early Saturday in Austin near Mill Pond.
A man was biking home from work near the bridge by the skate park when he was confronted by two men , one of whom had a gun, according to a police report.
According to the report, the victim said he’d call police, leading one of the suspects to allegedly tell the man he’d kill him if he did.
The victim responded by pulling out a knife sharpener to defend himself, at which point he was struck by a black revolver in the arm. The suspects then fled toward the library.
The suspects are described as two thin, black males, each standing about 5-feet, 11-inches tall. They both were wearing red T-shirts, with one of them having the shirt pulled up around his head. That man was wearing black shorts and white shoes.
The gun was also wrapped in a red bandana.
The victim told police he had frequently seen the two near the gazebo by the library.
