A man was seen following an 8-year-old girl in Austin Sunday morning in his car, resembling the description of a suspect from at least three previous incidents.

The man, described as an older white male with long blonde hair and a goatee, followed the girl in an older, white car towing a trailer with “Walser” on the side. He followed her from Southgate Elementary to her home about three blocks away on 16th Avenue SW. The girl notified her parents, who said they had seen similar reports in the news. A police report was filed shortly after the incident, around 9 a.m. Sunday.

A man matching that description also reportedly abducted a 9-year-old boy in North Branch, Minn., last week. That boy was able to flee from the man’s car.

In May, a man again matching the description reportedly got very close to a 10-year old boy who was fishing from a dam at Lake Louise Park in Lyle. The man did not attempt to grab the boy, but the boy got scared and ran off.

Mankato police also reported at least one incident late last year involving a similar suspect.
