Hope Lutheran edges out L/P boys

The Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball team came up short on a late comeback in a 58-52 loss to Hope Lutheran (9-9 overall) in Pacelli Friday.

The Athletics (5-12 overall, 5-8 SEC) trailed 34-16 at the break but they came back to tie the game before falling back again.

“It was like night and day from the first half to the second half,” L/P head coach Casey Anderson said. “In the first half we came out flat with no intensity or energy and in the second half we came out on fire.”

Ryan Rust led L/P with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
