Karen Louise Anderson

Karen L. (Dahl) Anderson, 77, died in her Eagan, Minn. home on March 7, 2012, the result of her 15-year battle with Parkinson’s disease. She is preceded in death by her parents, Randolph & Nina (Sterud) Dahl, and sister, Joan Nordness.
Karen was born in Minneapolis on Oct. 1, 1934. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952 and attended Luther College. She is survived by her husband, Ted; daughters, Kari (Randy) Hurley and children Evan & Angela, Paula (Tom) Jilk and children Heather & Joshua; sisters, Constance Larson, Elizabeth Hoeger, Joyce Fadness; and brother Leif.
The Anderson family moved to Austin in 1974. They were active members of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Karen was a teller at U.S. Bank in Austin for 15 years. She and her husband, also a bank employee, retired in 1994 and moved to Eagan to be closer to their children and grandchildren. The family expresses their thanks to Fairview Hospice and Home Care for the wonderful care they gave to Karen during her illness.
The memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, March 31 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley with a gathering half an hour prior to the service.
