City Council members will gather again for the second installment of their annual council retreat Thursday evening at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center.

Members will be hearing annual reports and future goals from the Fire Department, Austin Public Library, League of Minnesota Cities and other local departments.

By the end of the night, council members hope to have a list of goals for 2011, which could include more flood mitigation efforts, ways to adapt to changes in Local Government Aid and economic development strategies to increase the success of existing businesses and possibly attract new businesses.
