Ella Bertha Naatz, 100, of Brownsdale, Minn. died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Adams Health Care Center, Adams, Minn.

She was born Sept. 17, 1911, to John and Louisa (Henning) Rubin in Dexter Township, Mower County, Minn., where she grew up and attended country school. She married August F. Naatz on Aug. 15, 1930, in Austin, Minn. An active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale, Ella belonged to Ladies Aid and Circle and also taught Sunday School. She loved spending time with her family, as well as gardening, flowers, crafts and crocheting. August passed away in 1993. Ella lived most of her life in Brownsdale, but for the past six years, she was a resident of Adams Health Care Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Darlene (Lowell) Bjoraker of Winona, Minn.; son, Thomas (Monica) Naatz of Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren, Daniel Bjoraker, Michael Bjoraker, Kay Wiegert, Victoria Naatz and Eric Naatz; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louisa Rubin; her husband, August Naatz; six brothers, Oscar, John, Peter, Carl, George and Ernest Rubin; and a great-grandson, Chad.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale with the Rev. Jeffery Sage officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Dexter Cemetery.
