Patience wearing thin with Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS — All the momentum the Minnesota Timberwolves thought they were building earlier this season appears to be gone now.
They stagger into the All-Star break with the worst record in the Western Conference. They have struggled with injuries to key players and muddled through the maddening inconsistency that comes with being the youngest team in the league.
Despite a clear upgrade in talent this season, the Wolves have just 13 wins, which is exactly the same amount of victories they had at the break last season. The progress has been slow and owner Glen Taylor is starting to get impatient.
Taylor said recently he needs to see more victories over the last third of the season to prove to fans that the team’s latest rebuilding project engineered by President David Kahn and coach Kurt Rambis is working.
