Packer girls topple Waseca

The Austin girls basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak when it beat Waseca (3-17 overall) 65-45 in Ove Berven Gym Thursday.
The Packers (9-12 overall) shot 43 percent on threes as sophomore guard Stephanie Justice led the way with a career-high 14 points.
“It was one of our better shooting nights,” Austin head coach Gary Peterson said. “We took care of the ball and moved it with patience.”
Austin held Waseca’s top scorer Lexie Ulfers to just seven points and the Bluejays shot just 23 percent from the field.
Austin led 33-20 at the half.
