Riverland Community College is getting good marks for its agricultural programs.
The college will be recognized as one of the top six agricultural programs in the country by Toyota Motor Sales and will receive a two-year lease on a 2012 Toyota Tundra. Riverland instructor Thomas Anderson represented the college and accepted the keys to the new truck during the Farm Business Management banquet Monday. The banquet brings together potential Riverland students and explains the farm management program the school offers. The Farm Business Management program will also cover the economical status of the agriculture industry within the region.
Each year, Toyota Motor Sales honors National Association of Agricultural Educator members across the United States for their commitment to agricultural education. The vehicle leases are presented to honorees through a sponsorship with the National FFA Foundation.
