The Austin Jaycees host the 18th annual Take a Kid Fishing event at East Side Lake Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parents and guardians will be able to fish without a Minnesota DNR fishing license. There will be prizes and trophies.

Food donated by Hormel and root beer donated by the Austin A &W will be provided.

Loaner fishing poles and extra bait will be supplied.

The event is for children 15 and under.

In the case of rain, the event will be held Sunday.
