Angeline Maye Buschman DeBoer, 86, of Stewartville, died Monday, Feb. 28, at the Stewartville Care Center.

She was born May 20, 1924, in Mazeppa to Silas and Elsie(Scholer) Gilbert. She moved to Elkton when she was 9 and later graduated from Elkton H.S. in 1942. She moved to Rockford,Ill. to work at the National Lock Defense Plant during WWII where she met Werner Buschman. They were married August 3, 1947, at the Grand Meadow Methodist Church. Angie and Werner resided in Grand Meadow where they owned Buschman Building Supply until 1976 and retired to Atlanta to be near their daughter, Sandie and her family. Werner died March 5, 1990. Angie later married S. Lynn DeBoer on Jan. 11, 1998, and then moved to Stewartville. She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church and was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bowling and sewing. Her real joy in life was spending time with family and friends.

Surviors include her husband, Lynn; two daughters, Sandra (Richard) of Atlanta and Carol (Paul Widegren) Gratton of Harrison, Ark.; grandchildren, Elise (Matt), Alex (Amanda), Brendon (Heidi), Andrew (Lydia) and Adair(Nick); six great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Mary (Robert) Howard and stepson, Thomas (Kathy) DeBoer and their eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth; brother, Donald; nephew Stanley Gilbert.

Funeral services for Angie will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, at the United Methodist Church in Dexter with Rev. Karen Ashton officiating. Burial will follow at the Dexter Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Gray F.H. in Stewartville and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday morning. Arrangements are with Griffin-Gray F.H. in Stewartville.
