Dr. Mark Seeley, climatologist and meteorologist, will speak at the J.C. Hormel Nature Center’s Ruby Rupner Auditorium on Tuesday, April 24. His talk begins at 7 p.m.
Seeley coordinates weather and climate educational programs for the National Weather Service, the Minnesota State Climatology Office and various state agencies. Minnesota, he says, is one of the best places in the world to observe climate changes, thanks to its wide range of environments.
He will provide insight on local weather patterns, including the previous winter, one of Minnesota’s warmest on record.
The program is free and open to the public. RSVP by April 24 by calling 507-437-7519 or sending an email to jchnatur@smig.net.
