LP splits tourney matchup

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics split a pair of games during their invitational Saturday, defeating Alden-Conger 13-3 in the first game and losing to Mayer Lutheran, 9-0 in the second game.

Josiah Rohne got the win in the first game, pitching the complete game giving up eight hits and striking out six. He walked two.

Daniel Bollingberg was 4-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Jordan Hart was 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI.

Things weren’t so smooth in the second game as LP fought to find both offense and defense.

Bollingberg took the loss going four innings and giving up eight runs. He struck out four and walked three. Kevin Juenger pitched two innings of relief, striking out two and giving up a run off two hits.

Jonah Rohne was 2-for-3 to lead the Athletics.

“We played well in the field and had a good game,” coach Brock Meyer said of the first game. “It kind of fell apart in the second.”
