An Austin man is in the Mower County jail after he allegedly tried to burglarize the El Parral Ballroom on Fourth Street NE Monday morning.
Police arrested Joseph Dama, 24, after they responded to a burglary alarm. According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, police went inside and saw Dama; however, Dama fled farther into the building and wasn’t found. Police then used K-9 Bosco to find Dama after about an hour of searching.
Dama allegedly had two rolls of quarters on him and burglary tools.
