The Packer boys golf team is in pretty good position after the first day of the Section 1AAA meet in Hastings Thursday.

Austin is currently in fourth overall, but is just four strokes behind first place Lakeville North, which won the section last year. The meet will resume next Tuesday in Hastings.

“We did OK. We just need to play to our potential,” Austin head coach Will Pazurek said. “We can do better on Tuesday and we have a chance to be right up there.”

Drew Osier led the Packers with a 76 and is tied for third overall. He had a bogey and a double bogey and 18 PARs.

Austin took second in Section 1AAA last year.
