Area residents will have the opportunity to discuss the state’s budget problems over doughnuts with state legislators Saturday morning in Brownsdale and LeRoy.

Sen. Dan Sparks and Rep. Jeanne Poppe — both democrats representing the Austin area — will be at the Langtry Cafe in Brownsdale at 9 a.m. and at the LeRoy Community Center at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to discuss the ongoings at the Legislature with locals.

Sparks and Poppe’s constituents are welcome to voice their concerns, ask questions and indulge in doughnuts and coffee at one or both locations.
