Two unique, and surprisingly somewhat local artists return to the Historic Paramount Theatre stage.

On Thursday, May 17, the illusionist Reza will appear at 7 p.m. Originally from Brookings, S.D., Reza has taken the art of illusion to a new level, delivering a rock concert style magic show to audiences across the country.

Reza’s current tour transports upwards of 15,000 pounds of lighting, sound, staging and some of the most incredible magic in existence today. Reza has garnered a world-wide buzz and loyal fan base with his passion for creating cutting-edge grand-scale illusions.

Switching gears slightly, Acoustic Ninja Trace Bundy will hit the stage on Friday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. Hailing from Austin, Bundy offers his own style of magic on his guitar.

His music is described as poetry in motion, using harmonics, looping, multiple capos, and his unique banter and stage presence to deliver an unforgettable live concert experience.  Seeing the fan-dubbed “Acoustic Ninja” play live confounds even the most accomplished music lovers as to how one person can do all that with just two hands and ten fingers. Trace was named “Most Promising New Talent” of 2008 by Acoustic Guitar Magazine, as well as winning third place in the magazine’s “Best Fingerstyle Guitarist” category the same year.

Dave Kirby from the Boulder Weekly says “Possessing a staggering acoustic technique, on both right and left sides, Bundy has made his reputation as a next generation solo guitarist of serious repute.”
