Donald F. Adams, 94, of Austin, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011.
Donald Adams
Don served in the U.S. Army during WWII on Luzon and Leyte in the Philippines and in Japan. He worked at Hormel in Austin for 36 years, retiring at 62.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Lillian; four sons, Gene (Pat), Ron (Jennie), Gary (Trish), Reno (Mary); sisters, Bonnie Grimm (Sonny), Juanita Arickz; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Adams and mother, Wilma Adams; brothers, Gene, Glen, Rene, Wayland, Dean; sisters, Winona Stroberg, Virginia Peronteau.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with The Reverand Glenn Monson officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 91. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
