Published 5:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2011

This week we have many things going on at the senior center. It is our hope to have something for everyone. If you aren’t seeing something that you would like to do please call me and let me know what we can add.

Tuesday is our Hormel Retiree’s breakfast. If you or your spouse are retired from Hormel you are both invited to join us for breakfast on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Tickets are available in advance for $4.50 or at the door for $5.50. After breakfast stick around and get a wonderful15 minute back or hand massage at the senior center from the wellness clinic for free.

Wednesday Morning is Wood Carving Club. This group keeps growing and they are having fun! You are welcome to come in and check them out Wednesdays at 8:30am. Wednesday at 10 a.m. is the Macular Degeneration Support Group. This Month Dr. Gareth Hataye from Innovision will be the special speaker. If you have Macular Degeneration or know someone that does join us for this informative speaker.

Calling all card players. We are starting a new card game at the center and are looking for people interested in learning or maybe you know how to play, and you want to join in. The game is called 500+ (Bridge). If you are a 500 player this will be easy for you.

You bid and score like 500 and play it like Bridge.

Jim Fisher will be teaching this game Thursday, April 14, starting at 12:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome. Any Questions contact Jim’s cell: (507) 219-1647. Once you feel comfortable with the game we will have tournaments. Don’t forget to stick around after cards. Amy Swain will be here at 3:15 p.m. to clean and check your hearing aid. This is a free service, but make sure you call ahead to make an appointment and she will take care of you. Your always Welcome at the Senior Center. See you soon.
