The Blooming Prairie baseball team suffered a late letdown in a 10-4 loss to Mankato Loyola in BP Monday.
The Awesome Blossoms (0-4 overall) trailed just 5-4 going into the seventh when an error allowed Loyola (2-1 overall) to tack on four extra runs and put it away.
“It was a well played game up until the seventh,” BP head coach Chris Staloch said.
BP junior Luc Zellmer hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning to make it a 5-4 game but the Blossoms couldn’t find any more offense after that.
