Summer series continues with Patsy Cline tribute

The Paramount Summer Under the Stars Season continues at 7:30 p.m. on June 16 with a Tribute to Patsy Cline featuring CoCo Walters.
Paramount patrons last saw CoCo on stage during the Age of Aquarius event last March. In this performance, CoCo will take the audience on a journey through Patsy’s entire career until the tragic airplane crash that took her life in 1963.
This event is in recognition of arguable one of the major female vocalists of all time. Patsy sold more than 10 million albums of her greatest hits and was named the No 1 Female Artist in 1961 and 1962. Other highlights from her career include “Crazy” (named No. 1 Juke Box Record), “I Fall to Pieces” (named No. 1 song of 1962), and elected posthumously as the first female artist inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1973.
Anyone who has enjoyed listening to Patsy’s music is sure to enjoy this event. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and all student tickets are $5. They can be purchased by calling 434-0934 or online at paramounttheatre.org.
Be sure to check out the rest of the events in our Summer Under the Stars season. Most of the events featured in this season are free.
Offering these free events would not be possible without sponsorships from local businesses. Therefore, we send a big “Thank you,” out to Christopher Lee Photography, Doors and Floors, Mayo Health Systems-Austin, and Simplified Technology Solutions for helping make our first summer season possible.
