Glen R. Frazer Sr., 72, of LeRoy, Minn. died Friday, June 1, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Glen R. Frazer Sr.

Glen Robert Frazer was born Feb. 18, 1940, in Ostrander, Minn. to Rueben and Eleanor (Long) Frazer. He was united in marriage to Dorothy King at St. Patricks Catholic Church in LeRoy on Aug. 2, 1958, and together they had five children: Glen Jr., Debra, John, Ron and Steve. Glen worked as a Scrap Shear Operator for LeRoy Iron and Metal and retired on Jan. 1, 2012, after 30 years of employment. The most important thing in Glen’s life was his family, he was always hardworking. As a young man he helped in providing for both his mother and siblings and then for his wife and children after his marriage. He was a prideful man and was a loyal and good friend. In his younger days he enjoyed camping with his family and trout fishing. Later in life he enjoyed escorting his wife to the casinos. Glen always thought “time” was the most important thing to give to family, not material things.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of LeRoy; children Glen Jr. (Lori) Frazer of Portage, Wis., Debra (Stephan) Maxfield of Spring Hill, Fla., John (Becky) Frazer of Lime Springs, Iowa, Ron (Kathy) Frazer of LeRoy, and Steve (Gena) Frazer of Franklin, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, LaDonna Cole of Bonaparte, Iowa, Rueben Frazer of LeRoy, Brenda Dunegan of Waterloo, Iowa, Kevin (Darlene) Frazer of Pleasant Prairie, Wis. and Kathy (Dean) Cambell of Bonaparte. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Blaine and David.
