Steak cookouts are the main fundraising events for the Austin Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.

Austin Chapter 10 will be hosting six steak cookouts this year: April 27, May 25, June 29, July 27, September 14, and October 5. The event on April 27 begins at 5:45 p.m., and the menu includes a 10 ounce Sirloin steak, a baked potato, coleslaw, a bun, and fresh vegetables.

It’s open to the public. Tickets are $12 and are available at the door or by contacting an Ike member.

Proceeds from the April steak cookout will be used to provide scholarships for area youth to attend summer camps at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro, Minn. Eagle Bluff summer camps give students the opportunity to learn about nature and develop outdoor skills such as canoeing, fishing, and camping. This is the sixth year that Austin Chapter 10 has provided scholarships to Eagle Bluff.
