Dwayne Maynard Anderson, 76, of Austin, died Friday afternoon, April 15, 2011, at Grand Meadow Health Care Center in Grand Meadow. He was born Sept. 6, 1934, to Ole and Ruth (Larson) Anderson in Austin. A lifelong Austin resident, Dwayne worked at the Red Owl store. He enjoyed radio controlled planes, photography and time with his family.

Survivors include two brothers, George (Irene) Anderson of Coon Rapids, Gerald Anderson of Austin; two sisters, Deloris Steward of Austin, Delphia (Robert) Srsen of Austin; 27 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and one brother.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with The Rev. Dr. Stephen DeFor officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Deer Creek Valley Cemetery in rural Northwood, Iowa. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com. Memorial are preferred to the family.
