The Austin boys tennis team won some close matches to beat John Marshall 6-1 at Paulson Courts Tuesday.

John Register and Matt Duren each won in three sets in singles play for the Packers.

“John and Matt outlasted the competitors by staying focused and not getting tentative with their shots,” Austin head coach Thomas Tauchnitz said. “Instead they really took it to their opponents and both went out and took the match.”
