Lillian Wiegert, 87, of Rose Creek, Minn., died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Lillian Helen Ulicki was born Sept. 15, 1924, to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ulicki. On Jan. 11, 1946, she married Bernard Wiegert in Omaha, Neb. They farmed in the Bradgate, Iowa area until 1950, and then near Rose Creek, Minn. A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elkton, Minn., Lillian was a farm wife and a homemaker, raising seven daughters and four sons with her husband Bernard. She liked flowers, cooking, traveling and having company, and was a Green Bay Packer fan. She loved to dance, especially to big band and polka music. Her great love was for her family.

Survivors include seven daughters, Joanne (Erwin) Shepherd of Bennington, Neb., Linda (Robert) Mitlyng of Austin, Elaine Wiegert of Rochester, Janice (Larry) Nyblom of Vermillion, Minn., Nancy (Joseph) Navarro of Southern Pines, N.C., Arlene (Gene) Davis of Byron, Ga., Marilyn Johnson of Rochester; four sons, Edwin (Renee) Wiegert of Long Prairie, Minn., Eldon (Phyllis) Wiegert of Puyallup, Wash., Vernon (Kay) Wiegert of Rochester, Marlon (Mona) of Austin; 15 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard, three brothers, one sister and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elkton with the Rev. Liz Erickson officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Interment will be in Hoflanda Cemetery in Rose Creek.
